I attended only west side schools, San Jacinto Elem. and Bowie Jr. High, until my family moved my junior year. I have lost contact with so many friends, friends that I have known for years. I enjoyed school, driving around and around the school during lunch time. Being in the band, going to Tommy's Drive In, working at Wacker's Dime Store on 42nd Street, making 45 cents/hour. My biggest worry was if I had a date for Saturday night and football games. Boy, what a life. |
