Memories from The Class of 1958
I remember:
|
Favorite thing to remember is just good old West Texas friendly people.
|
We painted the concrete block
"ODESSA HIGH SCHOOL" letters above the field house. We did it as a graduation
prank. Everyone liked it so much it is still being repainted.
|
All my memories from my years
at OHS are happy ones! Many of us keep in touch and gather to create new happy memories.
|
Listening to Dona Lee Croft
play the violin.
|
Great days, great friends whom
many of us still stay in contact.
|
I have so many wonderful
memories of my years at OHS. One of the highlights was going to dances with music provided
by Roy Orbison.
|
Forming the "Poor
Boys" band and playing sock hops and assemblies. Once the R&R got so raucous that
Esmer Dick and a girl got up to dance in the aisles. Mr. McMath shut down the assembly

I was only at OHS my junior year , which was 57. I had a lot of mixed feelings, it was the first year away from my home-town of Grand Prairie, TX. After all was said and done , it wasn't as bad as I had thought. I met Roy Orbison and dated his part time drummer, Ray Waggner. Made some friends , just wondering where they are now. I was in Odessa four years ago and it was different, however I still found most of the things I was looking for, including Ray. Heard from Richard Porter on-line, but didn't get to go to mini-reunion in the Dallas area. Would like to hear from any 58 grads from OHS who live in that area.
