This summer will have been 10 years since our graduation from Odessa High School. The Reunion Committee has been hard at work planning a reunion that we can all enjoy and look forward to attending. If this is the first notice you have received about the reunion, you have been on our missing list and have recently been found! Let us tell you what we have planned.
8pm – Midnight We will have a get re-acquainted night at Dos Amigos, located at 47th & Golder. We’ve reserved the entire building, so no one that is not registered prior to the event will be allowed in. We are hoping that everyone shows up ready to have a good time! The dress for this event is very casual. There will be cash bars made available to those interested. We are asking that children not accompany their parents…but bring lots of pictures!
Saturday, July 29th:
10am – 11am
We have arranged to have a light continental breakfast and a tour of OHS at 10am. The old
school has gone through many changes in the past 10 years. The current Student Council
members will show us around and we will have coffee, donuts, juice, etc. set up for a
casual breakfast. The kids are welcome to come and see where Mom and/or Dad went to
school.
1pm – 3pm
For those who wish to attend, we have reserved the pavilion at Optimist Park. We can
gather here with the kids, have a picnic lunch and let the kids burn off some energy. The
lunch will not be catered; you will be expected to provide food for yourself and your
guests.
7pm – 11pm
Our banquet will be held at the Ballroom in the Holiday Inn Hotel & Suites
located at 6201 E. Business I-20. There will be a three-entrée buffet served. After
dinner we will have a brief presentation and a dance. A cash bar will also be available at
this function. We are again asking that children not accompany their parents. The dress
for the banquet will be Semi-Formal (Church Dress).
Registration Fee: $45 for singles $80 for couples
This fee covers all activities. There will be a $10 late fee added for all registrations received after June 15, 2000. Please send Cashiers check or money order made out to OHS Class of 1990.
Hotel Reservations: Rooms may be reserved at the Holiday Inn Hotel & Suites and we have secured a rate of $58.00 a night for the outside corridors, $65.00 for the inside corridors, or $95.00 a night for the Suite. If you choose to stay at the Holiday Inn, please be sure to let them know you are with this reunion. Reservations must be made by July 1, 2000. Holiday Inn Hotel & Suites: (915) 362-2311.
Reunion Yearbook: Reunion Yearbooks can be ordered at the banquet.
We are also asking for help in preparing a memorabilia table. If you have any mementos from high school, please contact one of the committee members. You will be able to take your articles home with you Saturday night. In addition to the memorabilia table, we were hoping to construct a slide show. Please send any photos you may have, along with your name, address and brief commentary on the back. We will make sure you get your pictures back!
If you know the whereabouts of anyone on our missing list, please have them contact a member of the reunion committee. We will send postcards confirming your registration, or if available, we will e-mail the confirmation.
